So this fellow got pissed off with his lawnmower, went in the house, brought out his shotgun, and blasted the thing in his yard. Now he’s facing serious criminal charges.
“I’ll tell you the truth,” a criminal complaint quotes an apparently inebriated Keith Walendowski. “I got pissed because my lawn mower wouldn’t start, so I got my shotgun and shot it. I can do that. It’s my lawn mower and my yard, so I can shoot it if I want,” Walendowski told police.
I’d have to agree with him. Apparently having nothing better to do, Milwaukee Journal-Sentinel’s award winning reporters headed for the nearest lawn equipment dealership to interview the owner.
Dick Wagner of Wagner’s Garden Mart, 6075 N. Green Bay Ave.in Glendale, said shooting the mower didn’t help Walendowski’s odds of getting it repaired. “Anything not factory recommended would void the warranty,” he said.
Come on. Police: fight real crime. Reporters: Investigate real news. Apparently the folks at the Journal-Sentinal think they work for The Onion. Of all the people they could have interviewed… the police, the guy’s mother, a neighbor, Mr. Walendowski himself… no… they had to go down to the lawnmower shop. It’s not funny.
What do you think… Is six years and nine months enough time for him to think about what he has done to his poor lawnmower? Another scrap of human food for the hungry Prison-Industrial monster!
